Livingstone Online General Credits, Permissions, and Disclaimers    Top

All Livingstone Online materials are copyright Livingstone Online, unless specified below or elsewhere in the site, and are made freely available under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 3.0 Unported license in an effort to promote the broadest possible non-commercial use. The only exception to this is the Livingstone Online site design (including the design of the digital catalogue and manuscript viewer), which is copyright Livingstone Online and may not be reproduced in part or in full, other than for the purposes of review, without the express written permission of Livingstone Online's directors.

Livingstone Online's image, text, and other data comes from a broad, international array of sources. In the majority of cases, we are not the rights holders for the items in our site. As a result, we have done our best to ascertain all rights for all items included in our site and have sought to secure all relevant permissions. Rights holders have provided these permissions under specific conditions, which we have done our best to meet, document, and make known wherever relevant.

Any violations of such rights or provision conditions are, therefore, wholly unintended. Should any such violations be present in our site, interested parties are kindly requested to bring the matter to Livingstone Online directors Adrian S. Wisnicki and/or Megan Ward, and we will do our best to resolve all issues with speed, including taking down materials from our site if necessary.

Likewise, any inadvertent credit and permission ambiguities should be treated by site users with caution and further clarification should be sought prior to material reuse either from the directors of Livingstone Online or the rights owners of a given item.
